Biography

I am a first-year PhD student at the University of Virginia working on race, labor, and carcerality in the 20th century US South. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Florida before going on to complete a Master of Arts in US History at the University of Utah. 

My current research concerns the role of incarcerated labor in the post-Reconstruction Southeast's economic recovery from the Civil War.
