Biography
Damian Day is an ancient Greek and Roman History PhD student with particular interests in the Roman imperial period, military history, and the interaction between Christianity and Greco-Roman culture. Day is a Roman Catholic priest and member of the Dominican Order (Order of Preachers) with several degrees in Theology. For the highest of these, the Licentiate in Sacred Theology, his thesis focused on deification in the writings of Thomas Aquinas. Before coming to UVA, Day taught at his alma mater Providence College for two years.
