Biography

I was originally trained in textual scholarship at Peking University, where I spent seven years specializing in phonology, exegesis, bibliography, collation, and edition. My current research focuses on the bureaucracy, political culture, and narratives within the central court of the Northern Song dynasty (960-1127), as well as the intellectual activities and social networks of scholar-officials from this period. My objective is to synthesize the intellectual, institutional, and political dimensions of the era to provide a nuanced understanding of its historical significance.
